We Are Strange

A playful but in the end dramatic sketch of humanity, seen ‘through the eyes’ of a new human, growing in the womb: what kind of world will I live in, what will be my part?
We Are Strange is a thought-provoking film, making us watch ourselves in a mirror. The film is composed of manipulated found footage, tranformed into cinema.

KOE en Landschap (Cow and Landscape)

Documentary for the exhibition Soils by Wapke Feenstra, in the Van Abbemuseum (camera/edit).
The cow in the pasture is a national Dutch cliché. It is an image that has existed in the Netherlands for centuries and does not seem to be subject to change. But nothing is less true. Especially since the last four decades, the appearance of the cow, the cattle feed and, therefore, the landscape around the cow, has changed significantly due to agricultural industrialisation in the Netherlands.

The film cannot be shown apart from the exhibition or special screenings.
